How soon can I get started?
As soon as you want! We can start within a week of your consultation to help get you finished quickly.
When is a dissertation coach needed?
We help students for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, students need more time than their primary mentor can provide. Other times, our clients just need a “push” from someone to get going.
What does (and doesn’t) a dissertation coach do?
We help provide support, structure and accountability through regular meetings and timely review. We can also set up group writing sessions, and schedule peer support groups for students wanting to connect with others working on their dissertations.
We don’t do anything for you. In other words, we don’t do any writing or analysis for your project–it would be unethical. Students must complete all work on their own.
How much will the program cost?
We have a variety of programs available depending on your needs. Whether you are completing a thesis, dissertation, or seeking tenure, the cost of the program are dependent on your timeline and availability to meet.
Who will be my primary mentor?
We will discuss this with you at your first consultation, to ensure that your mentor has expertise that matches your interests.
How far advance should I contact you?
Yes! Make sure your chair knows you are working with a coach and explain what that entails.
